The New Jersey Association for Volunteer Administration (NJAVA)
envisions a state in which the lives of individuals and communities
are improved by the positive impact of volunteer action.
There continues to be an increasing emphasis placed on the
role of volunteers in American society. Volunteer resource
managers face unique issues in coordinating the mission of
their organizations with the needs of both staff and volunteers.
NJAVA
approaches these issues by providing its members with a statewide
network of professional and educational resources including
a variety of workshops and meetings where professionals who
work with volunteers can meet and share experiences. Our growing
membership includes salaried and non-salaried professionals
including volunteer resource managers, consultants, agency
executives, trainers, researchers, human resource personnel,
activity directors and volunteers.
